Classes Begin
Mrs. Katie Rodriguez Banister survived an auto accident in 1990 that left her a quadriplegic, paralyzed from the chest down. Katie, the 2010 Ms. Wheelchair Missouri, is an advocate and mentor in the disability culture with a mission to educate and empower others. Katie has developed into quite a poet. She has a knack for expressing her feelings in words that really connect with the reader. She has conducted numerous classes teaching others how to express their own feelings through poetry. On April 17th Katie will teach a class at the Children’s Illustrated Art Museum. The cost is $20 and includes a copy of Katie’s book . Katie recommends this class for ages ten and older.
