  • Sandra Griffin opening

    An exhibit of artwork by Sandra Ure Griffin, author/illustrator of
    EARTH CIRCLES and other works, will open September 25 at the
    Children's Illustrated Art Museum, 36-37 Crestwood Plaza. The show
    will include Griffin's latest work (full color illustrations derived
    from ceramic tiles) as well as her previous works in scratchboard and
    other media. Books, prints and notecards will be offered for sale.
    The opening reception will be from 3pm to 7pm on Saturday, September
    25 and the artwork will be on display until the end of December.
  • Book Fair

    St Louis Children's Illustrated Art Museum will be hosting a special author and artist event on September the 17th from 1-4.
    15 Guardian Angel authors and artists from around the country will be in attendance to meet with people and do signings.
     
    Activities for kids:
    -book fair,
    -book signings,
    -book readings, 
    -felt art project by our felt artist.
    -build-a-book,
    -coloring contest,
    -artist performing painting of book art,
    -photography of the kids attending-where we can print up the photos there.
    -caricatures drawn by an artist etc.
    -scavenger hunt
    -cookies and punch
    -tour CIAM museum
  • Creating Success for Kids with Autism and Aspergers

    We are excited about the workshop for Autism we are hosting on Aug 7.  If you are interested in learning more about autism, or know someone who is, this will be a very informative seminar.  Please see the registration form on the Home Page or on the News and Events Page for more info and how to sign up.

  • Crestwood Court First Anniversary Party!

    Saturday, May 1, Crestwood Court will be having it first Anniversary Party.  The Children's Illustrated Art Museum will be previewing a new exhibit: "The Devil at the Confluence".   We have on display the largest selection of Kevin Belford's art from his history of St Louis pre-war blues musicians.  Stop by and enjoy great art and soak up a little St. Louis history.  Kevin's book ,"The Devil at the Confluence", will also be available for purchase.

    Walk through our exhibit and discover the rainforest through the art of Laura Regan. Each page of her award winning book, “A is for Anaconda” is enlarged and exhibited in an unforgettable display. You will meet the many endangered plant and animal species, understand the progression of a food web, and appreciate why the rainforest has been called the “world’s medicine chest’.
